Climbing the wooden steps to the eye-catching blue door, you will be met with the wooden exterior of the originally stone cottage, adding an alpine feel to the wooden building, with the rear wall remaining stone.

You will also note the red roof and spacious decking area complete with seating, where no doubt you will be drawn to spend your mornings and evenings, marvelling at the Northern Lights that can be seen from this property.

Inside, find yourself equally as impressed with the styling and exquisite renovation where the walls have been painted white and the roof is now a curved dome of wood with a chandelier, a woodburning stove draws your attention to the relaxing seating area, perfect for an evening games night, and why not head over to the fully furnished kitchen with an eye-catching touch of red tiles, creating a masterpiece for you and your family to enjoy at the dining table?

Three bedrooms offer to encompass you in contemporary style with a simple and yet homely layout and the continuation of the wooden floor throughout the house, starting with a twin room offering storage for guests’ belongings, and a second room with a single bed that can be pulled out to add another single bed to the room if needs be, as well as a beautiful master bedroom with wooden roof beams and a fresh and airy design, chair and storage, and with an en-suite bathroom offering all of the home comforts, and so there are no waits for freshening up before tea time, there is a second family bathroom.

Wildlife, wilderness and wonder, this property certainly has a taste of each, with an abundance of birds and animals, including otters, and you will find several nature reserved nearby, for example RSPB Tollie red kites natural reserve, where the rare and red kites can be seen gliding through the beautiful surroundings and dolphins can be spotted at Chanonry Point, where there are boat trips (seasonal) to show off the stunning coast.

It is a beautiful town with so much to see and do and it is a place full of history and culture. Dornoch is home to the 13th-century Dornoch Cathedral and directly opposite the cathedral is Dornoch Castle which is now a hotel making it the perfect place to stop off and stay awhile. Dornoch has a golf course that has been voted the fifth best outside of the US so is well worth a visit. No visit to Dornoch is complete without a visit to Dornoch beach situated on the beautiful Dornoch Firth and with its miles of golden sands is a great place for beach walks and activities. Aside from the beauty and history, Dornoch has a great range of shops, galleries, cafes, pubs and restaurants to discover and is the perfect place for picking up gifts to take home to loved ones.
